Bad Jokes a Math the Band music video A Cisneros Films & Point1Production Bad Jokes is a semi-exaggeration of Antonio Cisneros’s childhood growing up in San Antonio, Texas. It’s an attempt at capturing the nostalgia of being a stupid kid in the heat of July, bicycles, and the joy of firework battles. Essentially; the fun of summer. Bad Jokes was funded entirely by Math the Band fans through a kick-starter campaign. It took over five months to produce because the safety and legality of the shoot was pretty hard to figure out. We had a lot fun making this project and thank you to everyone who gave their support. Thank you! This is what happens when one of my favorite songs by Air meets the mythology of my childhood. It is about redemption and sin. Set in a void of white, with a foreground of color. There is unfinished business for the woman carrying a rose. I've always loved this song and saw so many potential images to go with the music. This project was a part of the 35mm MOS cinematography 2nd year assignment at the American Film Institute. Please enjoy and share your thoughts.
